Our 100% Arabica coffee beans from Africa are some of the most exquisite available. Africa's dramatically high elevations and lush soils are optimal for the cultivation of premium coffees. While there are significant differences between the coffees produced from country to country, in general, they are bright, balanced and contain a citrus, berry - floral essence. Ripe Arabica beans (called cherries) are harvested once per year.
Beans are then pulped, washed and dried in the tropical sun.
Dried beans are shipped to our Denver roastery in burlap sacks.
Our Roastmasters roast the beans at high altitude for more flavor.
Then, we bag our beans to keep fresh but still allow for degassing.
